Installation Process

The installation process will involve several stages.

1 - Your energy and installation assessment

You will first meet with an experienced Account Manager who will discuss your energy requirements in order to estimate the optimum storage capacity for your business.

You will also receive advice on the best location for your vessel to balance aesthetic and practical requirements. A professional team can advise in the preparation for the installation.

2 - Sitting of your vessel

A suitable access must be available for the vessel delivery and subsequent deliveries of gas. For these, the NG driver must have clear visibility of the tanker whilst standing by the vessel. Once the vessel is installed, no building or alterations may be made within the prescribed minimum safety distance.

3 - Supply your vessel

Having chosen a suitable location, you should arrange for the vessel site to be prepared in line with the installation guidance leaflet. At a time convenient to you, usually a week after the preparation work, the NG team will install your vessel. This can be done in a single day. A NG engineer will conduct the final safety tests before commissioning the vessel.

As a new customer you will receive a Welcome Pack introducing you to NG and providing the essential information for customer service, ordering, invoicing and safety. Following this, you will receive a courtesy phone call to check you are happy with the installation and all your requirements have been met.

Once installed it is easy to ensure your constant supply of gas. Most customers opt for our top up service whereby we guarantee to fill your vessel regularly never allowing you to run out. Alternatively, you can order your gas as you use it. An easily readable contents gauge on the vessel allows you to keep track of your usage, when this reads approximately 25% a call to the BP customer services will ensure a prompt delivery to you.
